Tutorials



ICARC 2024 is pleased to invite proposals for tutorials with the aim of broadening the perspectives, fostering collaborations, and to aspire the future computing professionals to apply their knowledge and expertise towards sustainable development. Proposals for half-day (3 hours) or full-day (6 hours) tutorials are hereby invited which are to take place from 9th February 2024 onwards. As part of the technical program of the conference, the tutorial will be online (details of the format will be provided as we approach the dates of the conference). Tutorials are open to all registered conference attendees at no extra charge.

We seek proposals across a wide range of topics and levels—ranging from fundamentals to the latest advances in trending domains. Examples include Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Data Science and Applications, Parallel and Distributed Computing, Human-Computer Interaction and Computer Vision, Knowledge Management and Information Systems, Software Engineering and Technology-enhanced Learning and Teaching

Proposal Format:

Each tutorial proposal must contain the following:

1. Title of the tutorial

Topics of interest

2. Names and Affiliations of Speakers

Speaker Affiliation

3. Abstract (one or two paragraphs)

4. Intended Audience (one paragraph): Describe the background that attendees should have. Tutorials may range from introductory to the field for attendees new to a topic, to advanced (for experts).The audience would comprise interested individuals including students, researchers, and practitioners from the respective fields of study.

5. Description: A statement (no more than 2 pages) providing the relevance of the tutorial topic and a comprehensive outline of the tutorial content.

6. Materials: A description (one or two paragraphs) of materials to be provided to attendees through the conference website, such as slides, annotated bibliography, code snippets, etc. NOTE: the materials themselves do not need to be provided in the proposal.

7. Bio-sketches: A half-page bio-sketch of each tutorial presenter.

8. Details of the organizers:

Selection:

All tutorial proposals must be sent to the Chairs and will be peer-reviewed. The Tutorial Chairs will make a final selection of tutorials to ensure variety and relevance to the conference attendees and to best fit the conference schedule.


Upon Acceptance:

Speakers for all accepted tutorials will be required to sign a commitment to present at the conference within 14 days of notification. Tutorial topics and their presenters will be featured on the ICARC 2024. Tutorial material must be emailed to the conference organizers at least 14 days before the presentation date

All questions concerning tutorial proposals should be submitted to the workshop and Tutorial Chair.
